Nature Sicily Fauna and Flora Sicily

Sicily is an island with over 26,000 km2 in which the interior is a very natural place. The island has contrasts, 5 million inhabitants on its coast, while in the interior, valleys and virgin lands are abundant, and the area of Etna, completely unpopulated.

Sicilia is an island that breathes nature, and there are hundreds of places to go bird watching, go hiking, rock climbing, and practice other outdoor sports.

In the eastern part of the island, you'll find Mount Etna and its surroundings, like the Bove Valley, with the marks of all of Etna's volcanic irruptions in the latest times.

In the north is a mountainous landscape where the Nebrodi Mountains are, as well as several mountain towns. From its heights, you can appreciate views of the Aeolian Islands, some of the finest in this region.

Inside Sicily is the Natural Park of Lo Zinagro, a marine land park between the localities of San Vito and Scopello. It is a small park where you can appreciate the flora and fauna, and can only get to on foot.

In this region you can also see the Aegadian Islands, which are practically uninhabited. This is where tuna fishing is done.

Volcanic landscapes, green forests, incredible views from above, all of this is united on its islands, like the Pelagie Islands, or the Aeolian Islands, formed by incredible nature in Sicily with its coasts, cliffs, and underwater marine worlds...
